Sorry, had to do it. I completely agree with this, but it reminds me of something I read a while ago. A lot of sites trying to jump on the Web 2.0 bandwagon haven&#039;t studied their history. Everyone says &quot;yay, the Internet allows us free speech!&quot; but they don&#039;t realize that there&#039;s this decades-old thing called the BBS and Usenet which solved this problem a long time ago: moderators. People volunteer to scour the posts and get rid of or edit irrelevant or otherwise undesired posts. Granted, on a site like Digg, this might be difficult, which is why the comment-voting system is in place. But it doesn&#039;t seem to work, and just starts more fights. Digg needs more moderators. A lot more.</description>
