I’ve been active in taxations for lengthier then I care to admit, both on the personal side (all my working lifetime!!) and from a legal stand since passing the bar and pursuing tax law. I’ve put up a lot of advice and rectified a lot of wrongs, and I must say that what you’ve posted makes perfect sense. Please uphold the good work – the more people know the better they’ll be armed to comprehend with the tax man, and that’s what it’s all about.

What happens to your debts when you die? IE… Real Estate, Credit Cars, Auto Loans, etc? Does it pass on to your heirs/beneficiaries? who is responsible?

The first step of course is to have a will.

The second step is to visit your Will at least on an annual basis. Circumstances change, marriages can occur or dissolve, kids could be born and it is important to check your Will periodically to account for any changes that may have happened in your life.
